New Tru-Spec TRU Tactical Response Uniforms
![]() the Civil War's most famous Locomotive and the start of the Great Locomotive Chase. |
On April 12, 1862 the General was stolen during Andrews Raid, which was one of the most intriguing episodes of the American Civil War. The plan was for a group of 22 volunteers from the Union Army to steal a train, then head North and destroy the Western and Atlantic Railroad, the main supply line for the Confederate Army. However, due to the stubborn persistence of the General's conductor, William A. Fuller, and his group of pursuers, the plan failed. Eight of the Raiders, including Andrews, were hanged, eight escaped and six were exchanged as prisoners of war. Participants in the Raid were the first to receive the newly created Medal of Honor from the United States Congress. Andrews Raid became the subject for two popular movies: The General starring Buster Keaton and Walt Disney's The Great Locomotive Chase starring Fess Parker. |
Tru-Spec's BDU's (Battle Dress Uniforms), STU's (Swat Tactical Uniforms), Tiger Stripe Products and Tru-Spec apparel are made using top quality American made materials which are dyed, printed, finished and then pattern-cut in the U.S. by American manufacturers according to rigid U.S. Military Specifications. Final assembly and inspection is in American owned sewing facilities in Honduras using the same U.S. Government 807 program and inspection procedures as used in U.S. factories. The end product far exceeds poorly constructed look-a-like Asian imports. These uniforms are no-nonsense, exceptionally well-made and ready for action. In service with law enforcement and military forces worldwide, combat ready or casual wear at prices anyone can afford. |
